LDRA Technology Pvt. Ltd., a global provider of software analysis, test and requirements traceability tools for both public and private sectors, is organising the Embedded Safety and Security Summit (ESSS) 2015 to take place on 17 June 2015 at the NIMHANS Convention Centre, Bengaluru.
ESSS 2015 offers a forum to explore technologies, issues, and initiatives to improve quality, safety, security, and certification of India-developed embedded systems according to international safety and security standards and guidelines. ESSS brings together a large number of the companies with offices in India committed to partnering in the formation of an ecosystem for safe and secure embedded designs for industries such as aerospace, rail, medical, industrial, automotive, defence, energy, nuclear and cyber security.
Ian Hennell, Operations Director at LDRA, an ESSS sponsor, said, “Increasingly, companies are recognising the need to improve their safety and security measures and to adopt processes that will enable them to meet international safety and security certification requirements. They recognise this is critical to their corporate growth. ESSS 2015 provides an educational opportunity where Indian engineers can be exposed to industry-best practices and technologies.”
ESSS 2015 was announced at an LDRA-organized Partner Conference that brought together marquee participants such as IBM India Pvt. Ltd., Esterel Technologies, Texas Instruments, Green Hills Software, Xilinx, Wind River, National Instruments, Avnet India, Mentor Graphics, UL India, Oak Systems, Electro Systems Associates, Mistral Solutions, CoreEL Technologies, Real-Time Technology Solutions, FTD Infocom, and Trident Infosol. Together, these industry partners agreed on the value of ESSS to support the Indian Government initiative “Make in India” to inspire world-class Indian design and to promote the growth of the embedded industry.
Hennell, a believer in ongoing engineering educational initiatives, added, “LDRA intends to educate companies about the industry-best technologies and high-quality practices that will help them achieve safe and secure software. In founding ESSS 2015, LDRA has partnered with leading global companies in the embedded domain to deliver a wide spectrum of safety and security solutions for safety-critical and security-critical embedded systems.”
Shinto Joseph, Operations and Sales Director, LDRA India, added, “Many systems in our everyday lives now depend on embedded systems. These systems need to be safe and secure and to operate as expected, especially for the industries such as aviation, automotive, defense, nuclear and medical where extraordinary care during the development phase can make a life and death difference. At ESSS 2015, we have integrated our focus on safety and security with the “Make in India” initiative to help inspire our local strategic industries to create a safe and secure nation.”
