If Hashtags Could Feed is a digital campaign (stylized as #ifhashtagscouldfeed) by Graffiti Collaborative in partnership with The Akshayapatra Foundation. This campaign is a digital only campaign, which is an extension of #Project750 by The Akshayapatra Foundation.
                                                                                            
On the 30th of June, Social Media Day is celebrated across the world. Since #ifhashtagscouldfeed is a digital campaign, we are launching it on this day and to garner maximum traction. The campaign will run for a duration of six months. The aim of the campaign is to inform people to the cause of the Akshaya Patra Foundation. Aside from this, it’s to make people aware that hashtags alone will not lead to action, people will! Our aim is to encourage people to actually make a difference and then to use social media to spread the word. This campaign will be a first of its kind fund raising initiative on social media.
 
If hashstags could feed is aimed at making the general public realize that currently on social media, people simply use hashtags to express their concern or support for a cause. However, hashtags help raise awareness about the cause will not help resolve. Only people’s action can help in resolving the issue. By doing this, we hope sensitize people that donations are required for any cause to be resolved and by simply using hashtags, no real action is taken.
 
Here’s how we have conceptualized the thought behind this campaign. Hashtags, everyone uses them! What started out as a simple symbol has now become a universal symbol of personal expression. Today, people use hashtags for everything under the sun. Hashtags are used to highlight issues, social causes, environmental causes as well as a fun night out or a good meal. There are a number of causes that use hashtags, very few people realize that merely using or sharing hashtags is not enough. If a hashtag is not accompanied by action, there can never be a tangible result. While hashtags raise awareness, we must realize that awareness alone does not and cannot bring about action.

Manipal University - the pioneer for providing world-class education and INK,  a community that transforms imagination to impact, has come together to launch ‘Teenovators 2015’ – a National Innovation Challenge for 9th to 12th standard students and teachers.


With our rapidly changing world and unrelenting challenges of resource depletion, pollution and climatic issues, there is a need for a creative response from our education system. The future generation needs to be equipped with strong basic skills and specialist technical knowledge, as well as attitude and wider skills to generate radical new solutions. Manipal University and INK has identified the need for promoting innovative skills at a young age to encourage radical new solutions.

The launch of Teenovators 2015 also saw young students from Purnaprajna, National Public School, Sri Vani Public School , St Josephs High School and Carmel Convent  come together to light the ‘Torch of Innovation’ symbolizing the power of innovation and seeding the thought of entrepreneurship at a young age. The torch will relay across 8 cities, travelling to 400+ schools and inspire young minds to build solutions that will change the world.

Teenovators is a one-of-a-kind national level championship initiated to promote innovation mindset among the student fraternity in India. It aims to encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship in young adults and create a platform for the Gen Next innovators to showcase their creative ideas.

We, as a team got together and designed a device which could convert Radiowaves into electricity. It was a phenomenal experience. This competition is a harmonious blend of fun and learning, or in fact the learning itself was fun”.

Teenovators 2015 is open to 400 Higher Secondary Schools (9th to 12th standard) from the following cities - Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Hyderabad, Udupi, Manipal and Chandigarh. Each of these 400 schools will select a team of 5 students and one Faculty member to take part in the Championship. Schools are given about 6 months to complete the project.

The subject areas for the project can be Behavioral & Social Sciences, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Physical Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Sciences and Life Science.

Projects will be shortlisted in 3 stages – quarter-finals, semi-finals and Finals. After quarter-finals, 24 of the shortlisted teams will get a chance to showcase their work in the reputed INK Live conference at Mumbai. Top 8 teams shortlisted after semi-finals will attend the Finale in Manipal. A jury of eminent professionals will judge and shortlist the top 3 teams. The winning teams will receive the prestigious TEENOVATOR of the Year certificate and also a total cash prize worth Rs. 10 lakhs.

Besides, Teenovators also conducts an Innovation Challenge (Written Test) which is designed to assess the Innovation Quotient of students. All students from 9th – 12th Standard in these schools can use this opportunity to assess their innovation skills which may come of use in their future.

The four GROHE Sensia® product lines once again demonstrate the manufacturer’s leadership in the areas of technology and innovation. By bringing these sophisticated shower toilets to the market, GROHE is extending its water expertise to a new field. All GROHE Sensia® shower toilets are exceptionally innovative products, which raise users’ quality of life, comfort and sense of well-being every day anew. Advanced engineering for intuitive operation

GROHE Sensia® shower toilets share an exceedingly high level of user friendliness. Functions are identified by clear and largely self-explanatory symbols on all buttons as well as on the remote control touchscreen. The cleaning and care programmes can be personalised to meet each user’s unique needs and preferences. Adjustable functions range from the intensity of the proven GROHE DreamSpray®, the water temperature as well as the positioning of the shower arm. Users benefit from a spray with forward and backward movement, a massage spray setting and a “Lady” shower for feminine hygiene. A gentle drying phase courtesy of a warm air blower completes each cycle.
 
GROHE products are designed and engineered to perform to uncompromising standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This is why, for example, the shower head is automatically rinsed before and after each use. The toilet bowl itself is protected by GROHE Hygiene®, a special anti-stick coating that prevents residues from clinging to the bowl and a permanent special glazing – HyperClean – which reduces bacteria formation on the surface by as much as 99 percent. In addition, the new GROHE PowerFlush® technology uses two or, depending on the model, even three jets to flush the bowl with water which reaches every area of the specially designed toilet bowls. One of the models features a rimless bowl which is easier to clean because nothing can get stuck under the rim. Last but not least, there is an integrated odour extraction unit for the utmost in comfort and discretion.

GROHE Sensia® IGS

Already available internationally, this line is distinguished by its elegant design and its numerous high-tech details. Particular highlights include an innovative seat-mounted controller with a user-friendly turn-and-push function as well as a highly advanced touch-screen based remote control unit. Up to four individual user profiles or personalised care programmes using different water temperatures and spray modes can be stored and activated simply by pushing a button. As for bowl hygiene, this shower toilet performs thermal cleansing cycles using 70 degrees hot water at regular intervals. An automatic descaling programme completes its impressive list of features.
 
GROHE Sensia® Arena

The upcoming launch of the GROHE Sensia® Arena line of shower toilets by GROHE will mark a world premiere. The lozenge shaped bowl, a signature element of the GROHE Design DNA, was created at the GROHE Design Studio led by Paul Flowers. The lozenge shape ensures a perfectly ergonomical design of the bowl both for the floor-standing and for the wall-mounted toilet. Moreover, the GROHE Sensia® Arena shower toilet offers the most innovative features such as an air-infused shower spray, a rimless bowl, automatic lid opening and, in the case of the floor-standing model, automatic flushing and rinsing using GROHE sensor technology.
 
GROHE Sensia® Premo

Only recently launched in the Japan, this new line of shower WCs combines a stylish look with a number of extraordinary features including a sound module. This enables users to listen to relaxing sounds while enjoying the soothing water treatment. GROHE Sensia® Premo also features an extremely quiet yet highly powerful flushing function whose sound resembles the murmur of a mountain brook. A heated seat completes the picture.
 
GROHE Sensia® CBS

This floor-standing shower toilet is packed with the latest in Japanese technology to deliver the most user-friendly shower WC experience. Pushing a few buttons is all it takes to completely personalise the spray pattern, the spray intensity and the water temperature. In addition, the unit integrates GROHE PowerFlush® technology for maximum flushing action and thorough bowl cleaning within seconds. Automatic lid opening, a comfortably heated seat and a slim design make GROHE Sensia® CBS an instant favourite with consumers in Asia, which is where the product will be launched exclusively for the time being.
