Consumer Voice – a leading magazine published by VOICE (Voluntary organization in the interest of consumer education), in its March 2014 edition has come out with a report that ranks Amul Chocolates as the top performer brand in a study on chocolates conducted by the magazine.

Amul Milk chocolate with a total score of 78 /100 is the highest rated brand in the milk chocolate category leaving behind leading brands like Cadbury dairy milk, Lindt Lindor, Hershey’s and Chocon Milcreme as per the report published in its latest edition.

In dark chocolate category also Amul Dark chocolate has been rated as the No. 1 brand with 84 points out of 100 points. Cadbury’s Bourneville has been rated second with 76 points.

The scores given in the study are based on physicochemical parameters like – Cocoa Solids, Energy Value, Cholesterol, carbohydrates, milk fat etc. and microbiological activity as well as sensory attributes. The tests have been conducted independently in government approved laboratories.

Moreover, both Amul Milk chocolate and Amul Dark chocolate have been ranked No. 1 on value for money basis also.

Commenting on above Managing Director of GCMMF, Mr. R S Sodhi told that Amul always provided excellent quality products at reasonable prices to its consumers. HCG Foundation in Association with Infosys Foundation Launched Mobile Cancer Clinic
 
Bangalore, Karnataka, India

HCG Foundation, the charity arm of Healthcare Global Enterprise, in association with Infosys Foundation launched the Mobile Cancer Clinic, staffed with a doctor, nurse and paramedical staff, is equipped with Mammography, X –Ray system, Ultrasound system, Pathology and Lab. The mobile cancer clinic will start by providing cancer care in North Karnataka.

The “Mobile Cancer Clinic” was inaugurated by Mrs. Sudha Murthy, Chairperson, Infosys Foundation.

Mrs. Sudha Murthy, Chairperson, Infosys Foundation, on the inauguration of the mobile clinic said “It gives me immense pleasure to inaugurate the 1st Mobile Cancer Clinic for North Karnataka. This will be an immense boon to people who hitherto would not have had access to quality cancer care in the remote areas. If this model works, I’m willing to donate another mobile cancer clinic."

Dr. B S Ajaikumar, Chairman, HCG Enterprise, said, “We thank Infosys Foundation for joining HCG Foundation in the fight against cancer. This unique initiative of starting the 1st Mobile Cancer Clinic in North Karnataka, creating accessibility to advanced cancer screening and cancer care, helps in early diagnosis. The incidence of head & neck cancer and cervical cancer is high in rural areas, with early diagnosis we can find better approach to cancer treatment.”
