Judging criteria were wide-ranging, including:

-- Reputation of the vendor in the marketplace

-- The features and unique selling propositions of relevant solutions

-- Degree of acceptance of the technology and/or the brand,

-- Users' feedback on the solution/deployment

-- Durability, scalability, quality of service as contributing factors

The 2012 Information Management Awards are judged and conferred in three stages involving industry players, customers, and the editorial team for Network World Asia magazine, and Networks Asia, Security Asia and Storage Asia websites.

Over February to May 2012, the editors considered nominations from vendor partners, resellers and customers and scoured the industry for suitable candidates, shortlisted the finalists and then invited 100 CIOs and IT heads from the Asia Pacific region to vote from the finalists in each category. Finalists with the highest number of votes were declared the winners in each category, with runners-up named as the best alternative vendors.
