Unichem Total Income Grow by 14%


Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Saturday, January 15, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- The Board of Directors of Unichem Laboratories Ltd at their meeting held on January 15, 2011 approved the Third Quarter [Q3] Financial Results for FY 2010-11.

The Company recorded a total income of Rs. 197.11 Crore for the quarter ended 31st December 2010 as against Rs.172.76 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, reflecting growth of 14%.

The Company recorded a Net Profit of Rs.25.60 Crore for the quarter ended 31st December 2010 as against Rs. 33.68 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The decrease in profits was essentially on account of increased investments in existing and new marketing divisions and consequent payroll costs, higher manufacturing costs and depreciation due to commissioning of new plants.

The EPS for the quarter was Rs.2.84 as against Rs.3.74 for the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
