Unichem Q4 Net Profits jumps 20%, Total Income jumps by 19%


Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Monday, May 10, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- The Board of Directors of Unichem Laboratories Ltd at their meeting held on May 10, 2010 approved the fourth Quarter [Q4] and Annual Un-audited Results for FY 2009-10.

The Company recorded a total income of Rs. 173.85 Crore for the quarter ended 31st March 2010 as against Rs. 146.39 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, showing an increase of 18.76%. The Company recorded a Profit before other income, interest & exceptional items of Rs. 39.34 Crore as against Rs. 28.00 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year showing an increase of 40.5%.

The Company recorded a Net Profit of Rs. 33.88 Crore as against Rs. 28.19 Crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year showing an increase of 20.18%.

The EPS for the quarter was Rs. 9.34 as against Rs. 7.81 for the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. The Company has declared 2nd Interim Dividend for the F.Y. 2009-10 amounting to Rs. 7/- (140%) per share taking the total Dividend for the F.Y. 2009-10 to Rs. 10/- (200%). For the previous financial year the Company paid a total Dividend of Rs. 8/- (160%) per share.
