New Delhi, Delhi, India, Tuesday, April 21, 2009 -- (Business Wire India) -- Blender, India's best music and entertainment magazine today revealed its plans for a huge marketing and PR push to celebrate its first anniversary. The highlight of this cross media campaign will be a 30 second TV campaign scheduled to run across six of the country's biggest TV stations over a two week period, the campaign began on Saturday April 18th and is already yielding fantastic results.
As well as detailing the make up of the magazine the advert also offers readers the opportunity to sample the May issue for free either by calling 9899414369 or by going online at www.blenderindia.com and registering.
Richard Downey, Publishing Director said of the TV campaign: "At a time when most magazine companies are tightening their purse strings and cutting marketing spend I am delighted to announce this major marketing push for Blender. We believe that we have the best magazine in India and I am delighted to be able to raise the profile and further expand the readership of the magazine as it celebrates its first birthday" he continued "we have carefully selected a number of TV channels that I believe reflect the essence of the brand. Blender is young, exciting, contemporary and fresh. I am delighted with the work that Glint Entertainment put into creating a commercial that I believe sums up nicely what Blender is."
The TV campaign will be complimented by an ad campaign across India's leading media and advertising trade publications as well as a multi-tiered PR strategy.
The issue itself features an exclusive interview with Bollywood's biggest star Shah Rukh Khan, a fifteen page guide on the latest must-have gadgets available in India in a technology user's guide, Blender's definitive countdown of the top 100 Bollywood movies of all time and star interviews with Sandip Soparrkarr, Salim Sulamain and Kardinal Offishal.
Commenting on the activity, Blender Editor-in-Chief, Sam Lal said: "It's a fantastic feeling celebrating Blender's first anniversary. I can truly say that it is India's most exciting, fun, savvy and with-it music and entertainment magazine. Everyone at team Blender is feeling like a million bucks about our first birthday special and it's quite natural then, that we have the King of Bollywood heading up our May 2009 edition!"
