G4S Guard Deployed at an Agra Mall Hands over Bomb Implanters to the Police

New Delhi, Delhi, India, Friday, November 21, 2008 -- (Business Wire India) -- G4S guards once again display valor, presence of mind and passion for their duty. On 02 November 2008 at approximately 1800 hrs a G4S guard - Dilip Singh - deployed at the main entrance of Agra's well known Pacific mall was approached by three strangers with an offer of giving him Rs. 5 Lac to help them plant a bomb in the mall.

Guard Dilip Singh was alert and made a conversation with these three men, making them stay put within the mall premises. Later he intelligently managed to report the incident to his Duty Supervisor K N Singh. The Supervisor immediately informed the Pacific Mall Manager, who in turn intimated the Police. In the mean while Guard Dilip Singh kept an eye on the movement of the suspects.

The Police rushed to the site and nabbed all three suspects (later identified as Mohd. Naziruddin, Hassan and Nazir belonging to the suburbs of Agra). Police took above three persons along with Guard Dilip for investigation.

As per Police investigation, it was revealed that the three suspects mentioned above had not seriously offered Rs 5 Lac to Guard Dilip to allow them to plant the bomb. All three were booked under CRPC - 109 and were produced in the Court on 03 November 2008. It is learnt that they were granted bail same day.

It was the immaculate training provided and the passion for duty instilled in the guards by G4S that led to this quick action taken by Guard Dilip Singh.
