Romano’s, home-style Italian restaurant housed at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar is set to launch an exciting gastronomic experience with their new menu curated by the new Head Chef - Chef Roberto Zorzoli from 5th December 2015 onwards. Chef Roberto Zorzoli brings with him over 15 years of culinary expertise, and a deep-rooted love for Italian flavors and authentic cooking styles. From wholesome countryside staples to delicious signature creations, the all-new menu at Romano’s is a tribute to his prodigious talent. As a child, Chef Roberto was inspired by the food cooked in his grandparent’s kitchen. The new menu offers authentic Italian recipes passed down from generations.
Listed below are a few dishes from the new menu by Chef Roberto.
Anitpasti & Soup:
- Verdure grigliate con scamorza affumicata - Grilled vegetable with melted smoked cheese
- Piccatina di pollo in carpione - Marinated chicken with a swirl of vegetables & aromas bittersweet
- Zuppa di pomodoro e caprino - Tomato soup with goat cheese and basil
- Pasta e fagioli - Traditional soup with beans bacon and short pasta
Main Course - Gnocchi saraceni con pomodorini freschi e ricotta - Buckwheat gnocchi with fresh tomato sauce and ricotta
- Risotto salsiccia e funghi - Risotto with wild mushrooms and pork homemade sausage
- Medaglioni di spinaci con fonduta tartufata - Spinach medallions gratin with truffle fondue
- Eggplant parmigiana - A Popular Italian dish layers of tomato and eggplant parmesan baked
- Agnello castagne e barolo - Australian lamb loin with chestnuts and Barolo wine sauce, wild black rice.
Dessert - Latte fritto - Fried milk with cinnamon vanilla ice cream
- Budino al cioccolato V - Chocolate pudding with lemon whipped cream
The new menu will be paired with a range of Ballantine’s concoctions curated by
Alex Williams, Brand Ambassador for Ballantine’s Scotch Whisky. Alex has carefully paired
the dishes with the best of Ballantine’s range of whiskies - The Ballantine’s Boulvardier, Ballantine’s Finest, George’s Blood & Sand, Ballantine’s 12yo, Ballantine’s Own Rob Roy, Ballantine’s 21 yo, The Ballantine’s Old Fashioned and many more.
