Their model involves working with children when they begin school and work towards child retention, life skills development, fitness improvement, and ultimately – academic success too.
As a part of the initiative, H&R Block has sponsored football teams, their employees have been attending practice sessions to encourage kids and also been mentoring kids through personal interactions. The HR Leader, Shivgauri Rajan who is the lead in this initiative shares her experience from the introductory session with the JFK kids. She says, “The children were extremely smart & witty, participative and full of energy. They were a welcome change to our round the clock corporate lives. Their confidence and dedication to the game were inspiring and also reinforces on the aspect of how sports can have a positive impact on our personality & growth.
