A noble initiative is being undertaken by Neptune Group for the people who are HIV positive. Neptune Foundation has come up with a unique way to support young couples who are suffering from HIV by providing them free of cost nutritional supplements. Neptune Group has named this initiative as the Nutritional Supplement Support Programme which is scheduled for 12th September.
Nutritional Supplement Support Programme will provide nutritional supplements to young couples who have an HIV infection. The programme will provide monthly ration along with a protein bottle per couple. These provisions will also be for pregnant women along with patients under ART Treatment from the BMC as on 12th September, 2015.
The spokesperson for Neptune Developers said, “The attitude of our country towards patients suffering from HIV remains biased. There is more awareness needed on this subject. By organizing the campaign to support patients of HIV, Neptune Group not only aims at the provision of nutritional supplements but we wish to bring about a change in people’s attitude as well.”
Nutritional Supplement Support Programme, also being called HIV+ Nutrition Programme, is scheduled to run from 10 am to 1 pm this Saturday. It will run at BMC Hospital, MG Road, Mulund West.
Donations for the HIV+ Nutrition Programme are open and anybody can donate with a tax benefit of 50%. Donors can also provide monthly rations to patients of HIV by paying a denomination of INR 1,000 with a 50% tax benefit.
The spokesperson of Neptune Developers added, “The programme is receiving great response from people all across the country. People are donating big sums of money and we are overjoyed to witness such an overwhelming response. The list of donors has a big chunk of people who are either related to or know people who are HIV positive. Besides them, we also have many who donate only for philanthropic concerns. Neptune Foundation is really thankful to each one of them.”
