The fifth edition of India Healthcare Awards jointly instituted by CNBC TV18 & ICICI Lombard has once again awarded P. D. Hinduja Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mumbai, as the “Best Multi Specialty Hospital – Megapolis” for 2014. In its fifth edition, the India Healthcare Awards considered to be Gold Standard for the Healthcare industry, is an initiative to honor and award centers of excellence and quality driven healthcare delivery institutions.
IMRB, India’s leading market research agency, adapted a multi-phase methodology in which more than 4000 hospitals participated. The methodology included shortlisting of the hospitals from all the nominations received, interviewing more than 300 hospitals’ senior management on various parameters of healthcare delivery and collecting feedback from stakeholders like doctors, patients and care-givers. More than 600 doctors were also interviewed for feedback. An eminent jury comprising of stalwarts from the healthcare industry then scrutinized the findings and declared P. D. Hinduja Hospital and Medical Research Centre as the “Best Multi Specialty Hospital – Megapolis”. Earlier in 2011, the hospital was awarded as the Best Multi Specialty Hospital India Metro and in 2013 as the “Best Multi Specialty Hospital – Megapolis”.
The award was given by Shri Shripad Yasso Naik, Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. On receiving the award, Ms. Vinoo Hinduja, Managing Trustee, P. D. Hinduja Hospital & MRC said, “We are grateful to the Jury Members and the organizers for recognizing our value driven healthcare delivery.
