He is being accompanied by Minister for Foreign Trade, Ms. Lilianne Ploumen and Minister for Agriculture, Ms. Sharon Dijksma along with a trade delegation. Minister Dijksma accompanied by a delegation of more than 80 Dutch companies and research institutes, headed by the chairman of the Confederation of the Netherlands’ Industry and Employers (VNO-NCW), Mr. Hans de Boer began her India visit from 4 June, 2015. The further strengthening of the political and economic ties between India and The Netherlands was the main focus of the meeting with Prime Minister Modi. By visiting companies, arranging matchmaking sessions and organizing a networking dinner, new contacts between Indian and Dutch companies is being facilitated and existing relationships being deepened. With a primary focus on Delhi and Mumbai, the delegation is spending a day in each city, meeting with relevant ministries and companies. The Netherlands is India’s fourth largest trading partner within the EU and it belongs to the top five largest investors in India. The trade volume between India and the Netherlands has increased over the last couple of years to almost 6 billion Euros. There are large opportunities for Dutch companies in India, in particular in agriculture and horticulture, water management, life sciences and healthcare, and sports infrastructure. - In the afternoon, Minister Dijksma will attend a seminar on investments in agriculture
- Concluding the day by attending a trade reception with Dutch and Indian companies
(Prime Minister Rutte’s programme on 5 June 2015) - Prime Minister will start his programme on Friday morning with a kick-off meeting with the Dutch trade mission in the presence of Minister Dijksma.
- Visit an Indian branch of the Dutch supermarket chain SPAR
In the beginning of the afternoon Prime Minister Rutte will meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and members of his cabinet together with Minister for Foreign Trade Lilianne Ploumen, and Minister for Agriculture Dijksma. . This meeting will be followed by a roundtable of Dutch and Indian delegation with representatives of large Dutch and Indian enterprises - Prime Minister Rutte, Minister Ploumen and Minister Dijksma will speak with Indian and Dutch entrepreneurs about their experiences on doing business in both countries.
- An Azad Foundation taxi ride for Prime Minister Rutte and Minister Ploumen in the context of women’s empowerment
- Prime Minister Rutte to attend the award ceremony of hackathon on e-health- he will hand out the award to the winning team for the development of an application created to address healthcare challenges in rural India. Indian Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda will also attend the event.
- The visit to Delhi will be concluded by a contract signing ceremony between Dutch and Indian enterprises.
Programme Mumbai (Prime Minister Rutte’s programme on 6 June 2015) - A breakfast meeting of Prime Minister Rutte and Minister Ploumen with young Dutch entrepreneurs active in India
- Prime Minister will pay tributes at the memorial in the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel
- Meet with CEOs from the Tata Group.
- At the beginning of the afternoon, the Prime Minister will be present for the concluding session of the seminar on cooperation between Dutch and Indian SMEs and will speak with a number of CEOs of large Indian companies about investing in the Netherlands.
- Prime Minister Rutte will meet Chief Minister Fadnavis of Maharashtra together with Minister Ploumen and they will participate in the seminar “Dutch Ideas for the Coastal Road”. During this seminar the application of Dutch expertise for the construction of a coastal highway with a metro line on the west coast of Mumbai will be discussed.
- In the afternoon, Prime Minister Rutte will visit the Holland e-mobility house where Indian electrical cars will have their batteries charged using Dutch charging equipment.
- He will attend a hockey event organized by retired Dutch hockey-internationals Floris Jan Bovenlander and Carina Benninga.
- In the early evening the Prime Minister will open an exposition of paintings by Dutch artist Lita Cabellut inspired by the Dutch Golden Age.
- The visit of Prime Minister Rutte, Minister Ploumen and Minister Dijksma will be concluded by a large trade dinner with Indian and Dutch enterprises. During this event several contracts and agreements will be signed for further cooperation between Dutch and Indian companies.

- Minister Dijksma will meet Minister of Agriculture of Maharashtra, Mr. Eknathrao Khadse
- Participate in the Dairy RoundTable, a meeting on cooperation between the Netherlands and India in the dairy sector.
- Minister Dijksma will speak with entrepreneurs from horticulture companies from Maharashtra.
- Meet students from the Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, who participated in an exchange programme with Baramati University, and she will open a seminar about the Indian school meal scheme.
(Minister Ploumen’s programme on 6 June 2015) - Minister Ploumen will open a seminar for cooperation between Dutch and Indian small and medium-size enterprises (SMEs)
- Attend a meeting about Indo-Dutch cooperation on innovative and creative solutions for both markets
- Visit an art project in the uniquely created Holland Village at Cross Maidan Garden, which involves children from Mumbai’s Dharavi.
- Minister Ploumen will continue her tour by visiting the art gallery of the Dutch interior designer Pepe Heykoop that offers employment to 70 Indian women.
- At the end of the afternoon, Minister Ploumen will open the first Indian Johan Cruyff Court, named after Dutch and international football legend Johan Cruyff and his Foundation.
