APVIC-VII is a multidisciplinary, educational course of its only kind covering the basics and advanced techniques of Peripheral Vascular Interventions.”

Speaking on the highlights of this years’ Course, Dr Khanna said, “Apart from the Fellows Course and Technicians Course, for the first time, we had screening for Radiation Induced Cataracts by eminent national and international ophthalmologists. This year, there were nine different workshops for the Fellows, including Workshop on Duplex Scanning in Peripheral Vascular Disease, Simulation Centre and Closure Devices Workshop, AnacondaTM simulation workshop, IVUS / ROTA workshops and others. The APVIC platform also witnessed, for the first time, doctors and biomedical engineers discussing on the same panel, sharing their views and experiences.

The Course is intended to be a truly collaborative cross-specialty training event incorporating the “Interventionalists” of the present and the future.
