In the wake of the United Nations and Government of India declaring June 21 as 'International Day of Yoga', Akshar Power Yoga, invites you to celebrate the power of yoga and be a part of “International Yoga Day - Bengaluru 2015” on Sunday, June 21, 6PM onwards at the Mampho convention Centre, Hebbal Outer Ring Road, Bangalore. International Yoga Day is a day to celebrate the authentic origin of yoga, to recognize that Yoga provides a holistic approach to health and well-being. And finally to raise awareness on the benefits of practicing yoga amongst the residents of Bengaluru. Akshar Power Yoga is conducting a series of flash mobs across the city to reach out to maximum number of people to participate in International Yoga Day. The most recent flash mob was at the Metro Station on MG Road amid lots of enthusiasm and excitement. More then 50 Yoga practitioners performed various asanas at the same venue.

Speaking on the event, Grand Master Akshar said “Our aim is to make Bengaluru, a healthy city by ensuring wider dissemination of information about the benefits of practicing yoga and its impact on the health of Bengaluru. We strive to promote good health and create an atmosphere of peace, love and harmony.” “I call upon all yoga practitioners and yoga enthusiasts in Bengaluru city to come forward and be a part of this endeavor, to raise awareness of the benefits of practicing yoga and making Bengaluru a healthy city with a holistic approach to yoga”

Grand master Akshar will kick start the day leading with asana flow, pranayama and meditation at 6:00AM. The main highlight of International Yoga Day - Bengaluru 2015 is the performance of 300 Surya Namaskars by 300 powerful Practitioners to create a record. The evening will also see an interesting market place for yoga related products in Food, Clothing and accessories. An icing on the cake is the performance of 500 blind students practicing various asanas. These students have been trained as a part of an initiative running for the last two years by Akshar power yoga academy.

International Yoga Day is celebrated by Akshar Power Yoga in association with Urban Yoga.
