The scope of the contract also includes engineering services, training and systems integration. The project, financed by the World Bank, is scheduled to be completed in six months. In January, the World Bank announced a new cooperation strategy with Paraguay for the period 2015 – 2018, with an indicative amount between USD 1,000 - 1,100 million, approved in December and which is twice the amount of USD 400 million received from the World Bank in the past. CG won this order against stiff international and national competition and foresees a close relationship with ANDE, as the country is committed to improving the reliability and capacity of the transmission and distribution grid. CG has recently supplied another lot of ZIV protections and meters, and last November signed a contract for the supply of eight single and three phase transformers totaling 420 MVA, for the expansion of the 220 kV and 66 kV electricity network. Paraguay is a country rich with many natural resources and the production of clean energy is one of the most important activities in the country.
