Anglo Schools International Services Ltd (ASIS), which manages pupil recruitment for a Federation of leading British Boarding Schools, announces today the appointment of its first General Manager in India.
Ms. Madhu Chebiyam, an experienced IT and marketing professional with an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University, USA, will open ASIS’s first office in Hyderabad and help establish a network of agents to complement the company’s internet activities.
The appointment comes as the first round of ASIS Entrance Exams, which have been conducted at Pearson VUE test centres across India, comes to a conclusion.
Commenting on the appointment, ASIS Principal, Mr. David Boddy, said: “We are delighted to have attracted such a dynamic and experienced marketer to lead our team in India. By using the most modern technology we are trying to bring the opportunities of world class schooling to as many young Indians as possible. Our new office, which will be based in Hyderabad, and our team of agents which will be put together over the next few months, will offer practical advice and help to families who want to take up this chance of a lifetime to come to a world class school. “
ASIS is looking to have representation in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore post Hyderabad by the end of the year. Commenting on this, Ms. Chebiyam said: “ASIS is here in India for the long term and my appointment, and the selection of a team of agents, shows that the commitment by the Federation of UK schools to give as much opportunity to Indian children as possible is significant. We are hoping to launch new schemes later this year which make it even more attractive for young people to compete for new scholarships. My team is here to make the admissions process even easier.”
