1,25,000 iLEAD Alumni to Hold a Month Long Teachers' Day Celebration


Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, Thursday, September 05, 2013 -- (Business Wire India) -- To mark their respect for the teachers who have been pillars in building their future, Aide et Action's - Initiative for Livelihood Education and Development (iLEAD) program will organize a month long 125th birth anniversary celebration of Dr. S Radhakrishnan.

The celebrations will commence on 5th September-the national Teachers' Day and will culminate on 5th October which happens to be the International Teachers Day. An estimated 1,25,000 iLEAD alumni are expected to participate in various events.

A wide variety of activities ranging from awarding letters of appreciation to iLEAD faculties, debates, and workshops, competitions on poster development, poetry to theatre are being organized. The primary theme for all the events /competitions revolves around the role of teachers in nation building.

The highlight of the month long celebration will be to explore and discover the dying art forms and the artists from across the nation who lost their imprints in the course of development and competition. iLEAD will recognise these artists and art forms and provide them a platform to share/exhibit their work through their innovative program - iLEAD creations.

About Initiative for Livelihood Education and Development (iLEAD)

iLEAD or Initiative for Livelihood Education and Development is Aide et Action's program to promote education through skills development and livelihood training to enhance livelihood opportunities. The primary aim of the programme is to train youth and school dropouts from the marginalized sections of society in employable skills. There are currently 89 iLEAD centres currently running successfully across India.
