Annik Extends ISO 27001:2005 Certification to Its Second Operations Facility


Gurgaon, Haryana, India, Tuesday, August 27, 2013 -- (Business Wire India) -- Annik Technology Services Pvt. Ltd., a leading knowledge services company (headquartered in Gurgaon) has achieved a major milestone in getting the ISO 27001:2005 certification in July, 2013 for its second operations facility located in an IT Special Economic Zone also in Gurgaon.

This certification is given to companies who follow a defined process to implement information security in the best possible way within the organization. This is extremely important for any organization as it not only provides a holistic, risk-based approach to secure information and compliance but it also demonstrates credibility, trust, satisfaction and confidence with stakeholders, partners, and customers. The ISO27001 certification is based on the erstwhile BS7799 standard and is accepted globally as a benchmark to insure Data confidentiality, availability and Integrity.

After conducting a thorough compliance audit of standards such as Organization of Information Security, Information Security Incidence Management, Security Policy, Secure Access Control, Communications and Operations Management, Physical and Environmental Security, Intertek awarded the certification last month. In June 2012, Annik received CMMI Level 3 Certification after an audit by KPMG (on behalf of Software Engineering Institute) for the service lines across the company, making it the first company in India and fifth in the world to be certified on CMMI SVC + SSD model v1.3.
