Unveils New EF540 Flash Array, FAS/V6200 Family, and Previews New Purpose-Built FlashRayT Product Architecture for the Next-Generation of Enterprise Infrastructure

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Thursday, March 14, 2013 -- (Business Wire India) -- In a move to consolidate its leadership in the Enterprise Storage market in India, NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) today has announced the availability of the EF540 all-flash array, for today's extreme performance-driven enterprise applications and its FAS/V6200 Family for Superior Performance, Availability, and Scale for the Enterprise. It also previewed the architecture of its new, purpose-built FlashRayT product family, which will deliver rich scale-out and storage efficiency features to maximize the benefits of all-flash arrays. The new product introductions extend the comprehensive NetApp® enterprise flash portfolio, which maximizes the value of flash across the entire computer network and storage stack, enabling the flexibility to choose the best approach to unique workloads.

With the strongest and broadest flash portfolio in the industry, and a complete line of products, including intelligent caching technologies like Flash CacheT, Flash PoolT, and Flash AccelT, the new EF540 flash array and the forthcoming FlashRay family provide flexibility and choice, and maximize the value of flash across the entire computer network and storage stack. The three new platforms within FAS6200 storage systems family, which NetApp is announcing today - FAS6220, FAS6250, and FAS6290, comes with an increased performance for the most stringent workloads. With this announcement, NetApp strengthens its enterprise performance for both SAN and NAS.

Availability

The NetApp EF540 flash array and FAS/V6200 product series will be available starting today. The FlashRay product line will be generally available early in 2014.
