Webonise Lab Completes 3 years of Operations and Marks it with Sapna Infotech Solutions Consulting and Development Arm Acquisition as an Expansion Strategy


Pune, Maharashtra, India, Monday, December 17, 2012 -- (Business Wire India) -- Webonise software solutions, a premium consulting and engineering company in consumer internet and mobile app space today announced completion of their three years of operations. The team is celebrating it the milestone internally under the label of "Power of 3".

The company also announced acquisition of Sapna Infotech Pvt Ltd Consulting and Development arm for an undisclosed amount with a focus on talent acquisition. The relationship between the companies goes back to days when Shardul Mohite, CEO, Webonise Lab and Anthony Hsiao, CTO, Sapna solutions worked together at a travel based online startup. The companies have decided to join force acquire Sapna's experienced talent pool and also to gain a foothold in non-english speaking European Markets. "There are lot of similarities between Webonise and Sapna in terms of culture and knowhow. To top it up Sapna's team had top talent in open source technology space. In this sense the acquisition makes a perfect sense for us." says Shardul Mohite on the acquisition.

This comes in as a part of larger expansion plans for Webonise, which is poised to surpass a 100 strong team with this acquisition. In step with this the company has just leased in a 11,000 Sq ft office floor in an IT park premises in Pune.

The company has also seen a meteoric growth in its revenues where it posted a 3X YoY revenue growth in FY 2011-2012 and is all set to post 6X revenue growth during the fiscal year ending March, 2013.
