Frost & Sullivan Estimates Process Transmitters Market to Grow at a CAGR in Excess of 13 Percent till FY 2015-16
Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Monday, June 04, 2012 -- (Business Wire India) -- The National Manufacturing Policy has been the driver for implementation of National Investment and Manufacturing Zones (NIMZs) in the country. Planned increase in manufacturing activity across various industries is expected to boost the demand for process transmitters. Initially, there will be a limitation due to absence of back-end supply chain for transmitters. However, with indigenization of manufacturing increasing, there is a high probability of local establishment of the entire value chain.
New analysis from Frost & Sullivan ( http://www.industrialautomation.frost.com), Analysis of the Indian Process Transmitters Market, finds:
-- The total process transmitters market in India was valued above INR 8,000 million during FY 2010-11 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in excess of 13 percent until FY 2015-16
-- The pressure transmitters market was valued above INR 3,000 million during FY 2010-11 and is expected to grow at a CAGR in excess of 12 percent until FY 2015-16
-- The temperature transmitters market was valued above INR 500 million during FY 2010-11 and is expected to grow at a CAGR in excess of 13 percent until FY 2015-16
-- The level transmitters market was valued above INR 1,000 million during FY 2010-11 and is expected to grow at a CAGR in excess of 11 percent until FY 2015-16
-- The flow meters market was valued above INR 3,000 million during FY 2010-11 and is expected to grow at a CAGR in excess of 12 percent until FY 2015-16
An increasing influx of Chinese Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPCs) in power generation projects has resulted in transmitter orders being placed directly with suppliers in China. Even though Chinese EPCs could limit the market for local transmitter suppliers in India to a certain extent, the targeted capacity addition of 100 GW in the 12th Five Year Plan will provide them with an opportunity to cater to the power sector.
"The process transmitters market in India is expected to directly benefit from the capacity additions in the power sector, as this sector is one of the leading consumers of process transmitters," notes Frost & Sullivan Analyst.
Growth in manufacturing activity due to NIMZs is expected to contribute to the anticipated surge in the demand for process transmitters. The National Manufacturing Policy will spur the growth in various manufacturing sectors.
"NIMZs created under the National Manufacturing Policy will witness expansions from end-user industries as well as product manufacturing companies," notes Frost & Sullivan Industry Analyst.
The research predicts that power and oil and gas will be the verticals driving the adoption of transmitters and indigenization of manufacturing will drive the usage of transmitters in India.
