Continued Proliferation of Cloud Services for Asia Pacific SMBs - Parallels continues to stress why the company - and service providers - should remain laser-beam focused on meeting the demand for SMB cloud services, the fastest growing cloud adoption segment. According to Parallels SMB Cloud InsightsT, the company's own primary research, it is estimated that the Asia Pacific cloud market has reached USD8.8 billion and will grow at a 27 percent CAGR to USD18 billion by 2014.
In Asia-Pacific, the opportunity to serve SMBs in the developed Asian markets such as Australia and Japan remains vibrant, while developing countries such as China and India are poised for explosive cloud services growth as they continue to build out their Internet infrastructure. The research also determines 75 percent or more growth in cloud services adoption anticipated in Australia and Japan; double-digit proliferation of hosted servers also expected in China and India as Internet infrastructure continues to expand.
In India, 2.5 million SMBs plan to add a service provider hosted website in the next three years.
