Unique Solution to Reduce Branch Transaction Time and Enable Faster Delivery of Gold Services

Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, Thursday, April 19, 2012 -- (Business Wire India) -- Dax Networks, one of India's top Networking companies, has successfully completed networking customer service centres across Kerala for Kalyan Jewellers, one of the leading jewellery groups in Kerala. Dax has implemented a secured Wide Area Network (WAN) solution based on Virtual Private Network (VPN). This solution is designed to help Kalyan Jewellers reduce transaction time at every branch office and enables faster delivery of gold services. A highlight is that, this project has been completed in a record time of 18 days.

Kalyan Jewellers recently launched 101 customer service centres all over Kerala with an aim to provide top-notch services for its customers. Through a Centralized Customer Support System, Kalyan wanted to link all its customer service centres and implement an online application to offer services like Gold Insurances, Old Gold Exchange, Advance Booking of Gold to get price advantage and various other Gold Schemes to customers at every centre. Kalyan required a cost effective networking solution both in terms of CAPEX and OPEX.

Secured WAN Solution

Understanding the criticality of the requirement, Dax has offered a secured WAN solution based on VPN, addressing all the possible failure points along with automatic load balancing and failover of both the internet and VPN tunnels. Dax has positioned its DX-8500E router at the core and its DX-1821-iR router at the customer support centres.

To reduce the recurring cost, broadband connectivity has been used instead of Leased line. The network has been designed with single broadband link at the edges and high bandwidth dual broadband links at the head office.
