Cadence Announces Launch of Annual Student Design Contest in India


Bangalore, Karnataka, India, Monday, February 27, 2012 -- (Business Wire India) -- Cadence Design Systems (India) Pvt. Ltd., the Indian subsidiary of Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDNS), announced the launch of the Cadence Design Contest 2012, the annual competition for undergraduate and graduate engineering students. Now in its seventh year, the contest aims at fostering the spirit of inventiveness and realization of ideas among the engineering student community in India. Deadline for submissions is Friday, April 13, 2012.

The Cadence Design Contest invites participation from undergraduate and graduate students (B. Tech and M. Tech) from over 250 Indian institutions that use Cadence technologies. Each project team can have up to four students and includes a faculty member as the guide. The submitted abstracts go through three rigorous rounds of evaluation by a panel of experts that consists of Cadence and industry experts. The winners and runners-up in both categories will receive a cash prize and the winners will also get an opportunity to present their award-winning projects at CDNLive! India, the Cadence annual user conference.
