Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Wednesday, December 07, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- Texecom is launching the Ricochet Expansion Pack for the easy addition and integration of the company's award-winning wireless mesh network security devices into any existing security system. The self-repairing, automatically optimising wireless technology has proven successful with Texecom Premier systems, and is now available as an add-on to other installations.

The Ricochet Expansion Pack includes an 8 zone wireless expander and a wireless interface card so that up to 8 Ricochet wireless devices can be connected to any security system via voltage-free, relay-driven wired outputs. This enables all installations to take advantage of Texecom's range of Ricochet shock, contact and PIR detectors, offering users a more flexible, stable and reliable wireless intrusion detection option than any other comparable wireless system is able to provide.

Ricochet's use of mesh network technology means that each device in the system connects not just directly to the control panel, but also to all other devices on the system. The strongest signal path will then be used to connect via any combination of these nodes back to the control panel, ensuring the stability of the system even if conditions change along the direct route. Setup is simple and straightforward, truly taking advantage of the many benefits that wireless technology has long promised the security industry.
