SCMHRD Stood runners-up in National Level Investment Banking Competition hosted by JP MORGAN CHASE


Pune, Maharashtra, India, Tuesday, November 29, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- The Team "Rain Makers" - Anshul Sood, Sumit Dawra, Hardhik Sheth and Neha Baid, from SCMHRD were the First Runners Up in the National Finals round of The Deal, an Investment Banking Competition, JP Morgan Chase.

The competition required the students to simulate an acquisition by analyzing the industry, evaluating the competitors and the target, determining the fair value and suggesting steps to execute the transaction. They won the campus round on 12th Sep 2011, which was preceded by 3 rounds of grueling elimination over a period of 2 months. After another screening, 5 country finalists from Top B schools across India qualified for the Country Championship event held on 9th Nov 2011.

From amongst more than 550 students (150 teams) who registered across India, the top 5 teams, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Indore, MDI, NMIMS and SCMHRD presented to the esteemed panel comprising of senior bankers in the Firm including Rohit Chatterji (MD, Head-Investment Banking, India), Madhav Kalyan (MD and CEO, India), Mahesh Aras (CAO, India) and Hariharan Raman (ED, Investment Banking).
