Established in 1971, Actis has pioneered technologies like Telepresence, Video Conferencing, Edge Blending, Interactive Training Centres and Smart Home technologies in India. Started as an Engineering Company in 1971 manufacturing 35 mm Mobile Projectors, parts for sealed compressors etc. Said projectors were extensively used by Indian Armed Forces for their units stationed in forward areas. In 1976, started developing a full range of Film Editing Equipments for Motion Picture Industry in India. Equipments manufactured were accepted as a standard equipment by Local Film Industry. These were used by Film Laboratories, Recording Studios, Dubbing Theatres, Preview Theatres, Editing Studios etc. (90 % of films of the time including blockbusters like Sholay were edited with Actis equipment) With its acceptability by Local Industry, had the opportunity to export to users in USA, Germany, Russia, Philippines, Australia etc. With shift from Film to Video in 1984, developed Overhead Projectors for Audio Visual Industry. During this period, computers came & changed the Audio Visual Industry. During 1980s-90s, Actis built up strong strategic partnerships with some of the world's leading brands for audio visual and conferencing products and expanded the product line with overhead projectors, LCD panels & multi-media projectors apart from setting up a CNC Machining Centre.
