Webonise Lab Announces Jury for Indian Android Developer Contest
Pune, Maharashtra, India, Friday, March 18, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- Webonise Lab, A pune based start in mobile and web app domain, launched Indian Android Developer Contest on 26th of January 2011. The contest was launched to encourage Indian app developers to develop applications that suits Indian Context. During the course of this contest, The company also intends to launch AppBazar, India's first Android App Store which would feature the top applications in each category.
The company today announced the jury for the contest. They are optimistic about the fact that jury profile will give yet another reason to developers to showcase their best skills in the contest.
Following dignitaries have confirmed their presence on board as jury:
Aditya Bhide, India Head for Samsung Java app Store, Samsung group.
Rohan Garg, Mobile product Head, Make My Trip.
Shailesh Lakhani, VP, Sequoia Capital
"Right from the inception of this contest, we knew that we have to create value for developers in terms of distribution channel, revenue and exposure. Getting an eminent jury panel onboard, is one step in that direction", says Shardul Mohite, CEO, Webonise Lab.
The enrollment for the contest began on 26th of January and will end on 26th of March, 2011. The application submissions began on 26th of February . The first round of judging begins on 27th March, where Webonise Lab will select the top 50 apps from all the entries (top 5 apps for each category). On April 1st , the 50 shortlisted apps will be featured on appBazar and will be open to 2nd round judging through voting of users and verdict given by jury panel.
The apps will be judged on the following criteria:
- Design
- Ease of use (Usability)
- Idea
The contest would come to a close on 20th April 2011. And the results will be declared on 22nd April 2011. Further details about the contest can be obtained on IADC official site.
