Religare Technologies' Healthcare IT division Wins Multi-Year Contract from Nigerian Lebanese Hospital


Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, Wednesday, March 23, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- Religare Technologies, a leading provider of Healthcare IT products and Solutions, announced today that it has won a multi-year contract from Nigerian Lebanese Hospital, Nigeria, a pioneering effort made by the private sector towards best-in-class Healthcare in Nigeria. As part of the deal, Religare Technologies will automate the entire hospital and provide maintenance for a span of 5 years. Moreover, the company will be responsible for implementing, training and providing onsite and offshore support around Magnum HIS to Nigerian Lebanese Hospital.

After quite a few successful implementations in India and Middle East in the recent past, this is the fifth implementation in Africa. Magnum HIS is being used by around 1700+ care providers across 4 countries in Africa.

Nigerian Lebanese Hospital is a project promoted by leading businessmen in Nigeria and Lebanon and will be shortly coming up in Kano, Nigeria. Initially, this green-field hospital will commence operations in Q2 2011, with 50 beds and will gradually scale up to about 150 beds in 3 years' time. It will be equipped with state-of-art facilities and will offer best out-patient services in the region. Leading doctors and nurses have been selected from several countries to ensure that the best talent is available when the hospital resumes operations.

Magnum Hospital Information System was selected by the Nigerian Lebanese Hospital for its proven track record of success along with the ability to automate almost all the departments within a hospital throughout the continuum of care, providing faster and easier access to information.
