Launches World's Finest Specialty Sugars Under the Brand- Mawana Select

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Monday, March 28, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- Increasing its footprints across the country, Mawana Sugars Limited, one of the largest sugar manufacturers in India, today announced its foray into the high-growth market of Mumbai and also strengthening of its product portfolio with the launch of first-of-its-kind and world's finest specialty sugars under its Brand- Mawana Select. The announcement and unveiling of new products was made at a press conference held at Hotel Trident.

After establishing a strong foothold in the Northern region, the company has charted out aggressive expansion plans to cater to the growing demand for its products in rest of the country and foray into Mumbai market is move in that direction. Introducing "Mawana Select" a range of specialty sugars for the first time in India, the company unveiled six different varieties of fine sugars.

SUPER WHITE SUGAR is the whitest packed sugar, which is free from all kinds of impurities, pesticides, chemicals & artificial sweeteners. Ideal for sweets and beverages. CASTER SUGAR, dissolves easily and blends in more air than other sugars resulting in extra-light cakes & pastries. Mawana Select's ICING SUGAR is a super fine powdered, lump free sugar which is perfect for preparing rich and smooth icings for cakes and pastries and for the decoration of cakes and desserts. Some brown sugars are just coated on the outside but Mawana's DEMERARA SUGAR retains its natural color offering rich irresistible aroma, crunchy texture & golden color that complements the flavor of coffee & brown bakery. Whiter than most sugars available today, Mawana Select's WHITE SUGAR CUBES have a light perfumed taste and dissolves quickly making them perfect for a delicate cup of tea.
