Pt. Motilal Nehru Stadium gets World-Class Fieldturf Hockey Turf
Rai Bareily, Uttar Pradesh, India, Friday, December 24, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- The synthetic hockey turf supplied and installed last month by FieldTurf Tarkett India at Pt. Motilal Nehru stadium in Rae Bareilly, UP has been approved to host the highest level of hockey competitions by the International hockey Federation (FIH), the world governing body for hockey.
This artificial turf field provides a great opportunity to nurture local talent. The turf was manufactured by FieldTurf, the world leader in artificial turf, which has previously supplied & installed similar hockey turf surfaces for major events such as the Athens Olympics.
Elaborate field tests were conducted almost immediately following the installation of the turf by an FIH accredited laboratory. The field tests gauged the quality of the surface using key performance indicators such as Ball Rebound, Ball Roll and Pitch Run-off, among many others.
