Group Announces Complete Acquisition of Rajdhani Thali Restaurant

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, Tuesday, August 03, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- Mirah Group, one of India's leading business houses, and the name behind prominent F&B brands including Rajdhani and Manchester United Café Bar is looking at aggressively expanding its market foothold in the Indian food and beverage (F&B) segment with an investment of over Rs. 100 crore by 2012.

In the quick-service restaurant (QSR) segment the company has launched Palette, a multi-cuisine food court and is also revamping Falafels Veg Hummus House, India's first Mediterranean-Lebanese chain, which it recently acquired. Falafels currently has seven outlets in Mumbai and the group is rapidly expanding the brand. They have introduced kiosk formats through Falafels' carts which shall be seen at strategic locations such as malls and multiplexes in the city. The rationale behind this has been to get the brand and the cuisine closer to the target audiences.

Additionally, the group has completely bought over Rajdhani thali brand and is now fully owned by Mirah Group. Rajdhani is expected to undergo a complete brand makeover with plan launch over 60 outlets across India by March 2013.

Manchester United Café Bar which started its operations in February '10 in Mumbai at Palladium, is now present in Delhi & Gurgaon as well. Looking at the cafe's success in these cities, the group plans to introduce it in Hyderabad, Goa, Chandigarh, Pune and Kolkata. Additionally, Mirah Group recently acquired a stake in Café Mangii which has one outlet in Mumbai and now plans to increase this to five in the city within the next 6 months, followed by outlets in markets such as Goa as well. Moreover, the group saw a gap in the segment where organized players cater to IT & IT driven industries and plan to bridge this gap with Nouvelle- an Industrial Catering Brand under its kitty.
