Tanla Acquires Additional 10% in Tanla Oy, (formerly known as Openbit Oy) Finland


Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India, Thursday, April 22, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- Tanla Solutions Ltd (Tanla), a global provider of mobile commerce, mobile entertainment, mobile marketing and advertising solutions to the Telecommunications, Media and Digital Content companies, announces acquisition of 10% of shareholding in Tanla Oy, Finland, thereby increasing the total shareholding to 100%.

Tanla, had in June 2008, as per the Share Purchase Agreement with Tanla Oy (formerly Openbit Oy) acquired 85% of the Shareholding in Tanla Oy, Finland, followed by additional acquisition of 5% of shareholding in June 2009.

Tanla has paid 5.95 Million Euro (equivalent to approx.360.19 Million INR) for the present acquisition of 10% of shareholding of Tanla Oy, to the Management Shareholders.

Tanla Oy's clientele includes leading handset manufacturers like Nokia and some of the largest Independent Software Vendors like Symantec, F-Secure & Quick-office and Gaming companies like 3D Arts & Gamelion.

Tanla Oy is a leading provider of application management services and License Manager Product on mobile devices. Tanla Oy's License Manager is installed in over 160 million handsets worldwide.
