TechMedia Kick Starts their First CSR Activity in India
Organized Maha Kumbhabhishekam of Sri Kutram Poruthaeswarar Temple at Aaduthurai in association with Maha Sitthargal Trust
Perambalur, Tamil Nadu, India, Wednesday, January 27, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- The Maha Kumbhabhishekam (consecration) of Sri Kutram Poruthaeswarar Temple was performed today at Aaduthurai, Perambalur. TechMedia Advertising (India) Private Limited, a Singapore based leading outdoor media technology Solutions Company, in association with Maha Siddhargal Trust organized the kumbhabhishekam. As part of their first CSR activity in India, TechMedia donated a sum of Rs.25 lakhs to the Maha Siddhargal Trust to help and maintain the ancient art forms in the oldest temples of Tamil Nadu.
The kumbhabhishekam commenced on 22nd January 2010 and ended with the grand Maha kumbhabhishekam performed this morning between 9.00 am to 10.00 a.m. The ceremony was graced with the presence of His Holiness Guruji Annai Sitthar Rajakumar, the Founder and Trustee of Maha Sitthargal Trust, Mr.Periyakaruppan, Hon'ble Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, Mr K N Nehru, Hon'ble Minister for Transport, Mr. Anbarasan, Hon'ble Minister for Labour, Mr M Vijayakumar, Collector, Perambalur, Mr.Muthuswamy, I.A.S., Mr P R Sampath, I.A.S., Ms. Vanitha, I.P.S., Mr Velurasa, I.A.S., District Collector, Nasik, members of the trust Shri M K Balasubramanian, Shri D Pazhani, Shri Pachamuthu, Shri R Arjunan, other sponsors of the event including Mr. Ratner Vellu, Director, TechMedia, Mr. William Goh, Director and Treasurer, TechMedia, Mr. K. Mani, Asst. Country Head, TechMedia and devotees from all over Tamil Nadu.
The Maha Kumbhabhishekam began with the priest offering prayers to the presiding deities Lord Kuttram Porutheeswarar, the Lord of Forgiveness and his consort Sree Suguntha Kunthalambigai Ammal. As part of the rituals, Rajagopuram and Vimana kumbhabhishekam, Moolasthana Kumbhabhishekam and Maha Abhishekam were performed. During the kumbhabhishekam week, a series of pujas were performed, including Vigneshwara Puja, Ganapathy Homam and Navagraha Homam.

About Sri Kutram Porutheeswarar Temple
Sri Kutram Poruthaeswarar temple was built during the Chola dynasty in the 12th century and has been given due importance by the subsequent rulers of Chera and Pandya dynasties. This temple is graced by the deities of Lord Kutram Poruthaeswarar, who is believed to be the Lord of Forgiveness and his consort Sree Suguntha Kunthalambigai Ammal.
