Mr. Jerome Rodriguez Appointed as New MD for Socomec UPS India


Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, Thursday, December 03, 2009 -- (Business Wire India) -- Socomec UPS India P Ltd (SUI), a part of the French-based Socomec Group - an international leader in providing secured power solutions, has appointed Mr. Jerome Rodriguez (37) as its MD. The appointment of Mr. Rodriguez with rich experience in the power sector in India is to strengthen the company's position in the country's UPS business segment.

Mr. Rodriguez is to head the company in a strategic path of success focusing on the SME (Small and Medium Enterprises) and SOHO (Small Office/Home Office) markets, which will be instrumental in driving not only the growth of the company but also the entire Indian UPS industry as well. He plans to take Socomec UPS India P Ltd gradually to be amongst the top three in the UPS business segment across India.

Towards this focus, initially he is to permeate the prospective areas of the Indian market with its new range of 'ITYS' and 'NeTYS RT' UPS systems - developed based on online double conversion technology - and 'ASYS' and 'STATYS' range of Static Transfer Switches, used to enable redundant power supply to all types of mission critical applications.

His engineering degree from ENSAM Superior Engineering College (Paris); Global experience working in markets such as Mexico & France; and also his experience in India in the power sector for over 5 years will be a significant advantage to the growth of the organization.
