G4S Acquires the Project Security Systems Division of Eureka Forbes
Enters 50:50 JV with Eureka Forbes for Monitoring Home Alarm Systems in India; Celebrates twenty-years of its Presence in India
New Delhi, Delhi, India, Saturday, October 24, 2009 -- (Business Wire India) -- G4S India takes over the project security systems division of Eureka Forbes Ltd and with this acquisition; G4S will double the size of its security systems business in India. G4S and Eureka Forbes have also entered into 50:50 Joint Venture for Monitoring Home Alarm systems in India.
Mr. Marzin R Shroff, CEO Direct Sales, Eureka Forbes Ltd. feels that this joint venture is a perfect partnership that brings together the knowledge and proficiency of the two leaders in their fields which will not only help to reach out to more customers, but will also provide better customer service.
Ms. Rupal Sinha, Regional Managing Director is particularly happy that this acquisition and strategic partnership has come at a time when G4S has achieved the significant milestone of two decades successful operations in India on October 23, 2009. Further, talking about G4S' journey in India, Ms. Sinha says that it all started with the vision of Mr. Jorgen Philip-Sorensen CBE, President Emeritus, G4S, to lead the global security industry and have a worldwide footprint that attracted him to the Asian market in late 80's. He felt that India is on the verge of globalization and a need for emerging security industry will be inevitable for the business environment.
His vision met with the imagination of David I. Hudson MBE, Regional President, G4S, who came to India to start the operations of Group 4 Securitas, (as it was then called) and built this business to the magnitude that today it is considered to have set benchmark in the Indian security industry.
