ISLE to Organize International Light Fair in Chennai from 4 to 7 March 2011 Supported by TNEB, SIDCO, MSME, TEEMA and others
Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, Friday, February 25, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- Supported by government agencies like TNEB (Tamil Nadu Electricity Board), TEDA (Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency), Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Industries, NSIC, and others, the Chennai centre of Indian Society of Lighting Engineers (ISLE) is organizing biggest ever Light Fair titled Light India International 2011 at Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, from 4 to 7 March 2011.
ISLE had earlier organized four lighting specialty trade shows in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Indore. Now for the first time it has chosen Chennai as the venue, keeping in view vibrant economic pace of activity in the city as well as the growth potential. The Chennai fair is expected to be participated by more than 250 manufacturers including 80 from overseas mainly from China, Germany, Taiwan, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, UAE, USA.
Seminars, Meets, Technical sessions, Theme pavilion, Laser shows and Cultural programmes are to be part of this dynamic fair. The first day (March 4, 2011) is to witness product presentations and technical detailing meet of sponsor companies. Technical seminar on Green Lighting for a Greener World is scheduled on March 5, when lighting experts from India and overseas are to deliver lectures on various topics related to Green Lighting.
Electricians Meet, Architects' Association Meet and IndiaMart Award presentation are slated for the third day, i.e., on March 6. The final day will feature a Seminar on Green Lighting Concepts including Lecture on LED Lighting. Dr. Prakash Barjatia, Director, School of Light & Energy, Pune and Er. A. K. Venkatasamy, President, TNEIEA (Tamil Nadu Electrical Installation Engineers Association) are to address the attendees across the departments - PWD, CPWD, Railways, ICF, BSNL, MES, Port Trust, Airport Authority and TNEB, among others.
The fair is being organized in the backdrop of Indian lighting industry witnessing a remarkable growth owing to increased investments in the Infrastructural sectors, reduced import duty and growing living standards. The Light India International 2011 will publicize the developments taking place in the lighting industry and provide excellent marketing opportunities for all the products and services under the lighting industry.

India Trade Promotion Organization, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, has approved Light India International 2011 for facilitating participation by foreign companies.
Mainly a B2B event, the fair will provide the exhibitors with opportunity to explore investment opportunities and locate partners for joint ventures and tie-ups.
