(Reuters: SUN.BO, Bloomberg: SUNP IN, NSE:SUNPHARMA, BSE: 524715) announced that USFDA has granted its subsidiary an approval for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) to market a generic version of Strattera ®, atomoxetine hydrochloride capsules.

These generic atomoxetine hydrochloride capsules are equivalent to Eli Lilly's Strattera ® capsules and include six strengths: 10 mg, 18 mg, 25 mg, 40 mg, 60 mg, and 100 mg.

Annual sale in US for these strengths of branded and generic atomoxetine hydrochloride capsules is estimated at over $ 530 million.

Atomoxetine Hydrochloride capsules are indicated for the management of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children aged 6 and older,teens and adults.

Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India, Tuesday, August 31, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- NSL Textiles, part of Rs 1500 Crore NSL Group, has brought to light the inauguration of its State-of-the-Art textiles process house at Chandolu near Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. The facility will be inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Dr. K. Rosaiah on the 6th of September 2010. Honorable Minister of State for Textiles, Govt. of India, Smt. Panabaka Lakshmi and Ministers of Government of AP will attend the event.

The output of the plant is projected at 1,20,000 Meters per day initially, which is proposed to be doubled in the next two years. It also houses 100 looms for weaving dyed yarn. Investment to the tune of INR 300 Crore has already been made with further plan to invest about INR 250 Crore.

Arcot employees are primarily located in two locations, Sunnyvale, California, and Bangalore in India. The employees will remain in their current locations through the remainder of CA Technologies FY 11 (which ends March 31, 2011). The letter of intent was signed on August 28, 2010 and is expected to close in our second fiscal quarter ending September 30, 2010, subject to regulatory review.

The acquisition of Arcot adds visionary technology for fraud prevention and advanced authentication to CA Technologies leading Identity and Access Management (IAM) offerings.

Arcot's solutions - delivered as cloud services or deployed on premises - help prevent fraudulent transactions for about one million online credit card transactions each day. In addition, by combining Arcot's technology with CA Technologies market-leading CA SiteMinder portfolio, the company will provide advanced capabilities to help customers further reduce risk, support regulatory compliance and confidently secure business transactions.

After the maturity payout is done, the plan automatically extends to protect the child who is now grown up adult, for the next 30 years. The risk coverage is at 50% of the maturity benefit amount - all at no additional cost. This way, the plan actually offers to protect three generations! It protects the parents during the policy payment term, and protects the child thereafter for the next 30 years. In case of any eventuality to the child during this period, the death benefit will be offered to the grand-child of the original proposer!

The parents receive the payouts in structured way over 5 years as per the education and marriage requirements of the child. First four installments of 5% of the Maturity amount payout to meet the education expense requirements and the balance 80% paid out at the time of maturity for other milestones like marriage, etc.

The parents have the option to further enhance the protection cover by adding Accidental Death Benefit (ADB) or Accidental Death, Disability and Dismemberment Benefit (ADDDB) riders.

New Delhi, Delhi, India, Monday, August 30, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- LCD (liquid crystal display) monitors come in several architectures. One term you may see is TFT (thin film transistor) LCD. Thin film technology improves image quality and is used in all high quality computer monitors.

In addition to TFT, other terms you may see are TN, VA, and IPS.

TN (twisted nematic) technology is the most basic LCD architecture. However, TN panels are not the best for photo editing due to a limited viewing angle,(meaning that the color and contrast change fairly dramatically if your viewing angle is not dead center), and low bit depth (6-bit depth is typical).
VA (vertical alignment) architecture is an improvement over TN with improved viewing angles and support for 8-bit depth., There are several variations such as MVA (multi-domain vertical alignment), PVA (patterned vertical alignment) and ASV (advanced super view).

IPS Panels Are The Best For Photo Editing

VA architecture and its variants are an improvement over TN, but arguably the best architecture for high quality displays, (the type required for accurate photo image editing) is the IPS (in-plane switching) architecture. There are now several variants of the in-plane switching as the technology continues to advance.

These are the key advantages of IPS architecture.

1. True wide viewing angle: Accurate and consistent colors at any viewing angle
2. Real color: IPS reproduces images that are closest to the actual color ( original image = digital camera = IPS monitor)
3. Eye comfort: Less eye strains compared to VA, TN
4. Stable quality: Image onscreen is designed to remain stable when you touch the screen

Many professional IPS based LCD monitors also feature high bit-depth and ultra wide color gamuts, which we define as equal to or greater than the Adobe RGB (1998) color space.

One interesting variation of IPS is the AH-IPS architecture developed by LG Display. This type of IPS panel uses the AFFS (advanced fringe field switching). This architecture gives the best performance for smaller screens with high resolution such as those used in handheld devices such as the Apple IPad.

AH-IPS has the advantage of greater light transmission, which translates into lower power consumption. So far, this technology has been limited to small screens due to higher manufacturing costs for larger screens.

As part of its series, Dimensions, Panasonic has organized a two day conclave which includes experiential zone and live demonstration/presentations at Yash Raj Films Studios to have the film fraternity, including the students, gain first hand knowledge of 3D movie making, post production, exhibition and what the audience will experience. Dimensions will travel across India and entail a 3D movie-making contest for students of leading film & television institutes all over India. Dimensions endeavours to free the imagination of film-makers and allow their creativity to be showcased in more compelling ways. Dimensions will culminate in November with a jury comprising eminent film-makers choosing the winners of the movie-making contest.

Previously, if one were to shoot in 3D, with the entire attendant skills required in maintaining parallax, vertical gap and the like. With the Panasonic 3D camera recorder (Panasonic AG-3DA1), the entire complexity has been packaged into an easy to handle body that contains two lenses and automatic correction for horizontal and vertical displacement, and image convergence. It has been found that with a traditional 3D rig, one is able to shoot in a few locations in one day, while with the Panasonic 3D camera recorder, one could shoot at over 15 separate locations and covered 100 miles in the same amount of time.

As a result, the film production fraternity can now create a wide range of programs in 3D, including nature documentaries, live events, concerts or sports, to not only showcase their creativity in more fascinating ways but also allow viewers a choice of a wide variety of 3D programs.

A number of viewers in India have experienced 3D, through 'Avatar' or 'Clash of the Titans'. 3D movies are increasingly proving popular across the world, and some of the successes of Hollywood movies are an indication of the popularity: it is estimated that Avatar grossed US$ 2,740 million on a budget of US$ 300 million, Clash of the Titans US$ 492 million on a budget of US$ 125 million, Shark Tale US$ 492 million on a budget of US$ 125 million, Shrek 2 US$ 916 million on a budget of US$ 70 million, to name a few.

Broadcasters are also conscious of this growing trend: ESPN, Discovery, Sony & IMAX in the US, British Sky Broadcasting in the UK, France Orange & France Canal Plus in France and Japan Sky Perfect & Japan BS 11 in Japan have announced or have begun broadcast of 3D programs. US Direc TV is broadcasting 3D programs and currently has a viewership of 11 million households in the US. For home viewing the global market for 3D TV is estimated at 3.8 million units currently, which will reach 13 million units in 2011 and 83 million units by 2014.
