Power Brands 2016 Launched Along With a Special Issue of The Sunday Indian on NITI Aayog

Planman Media launched a special issue of “The Sunday Indian” on the Government's new initiative NITI Aayog on 16th July 2016 at a glittering function at ‘Franchise India presents Power Brands Glam 2016’ at The Park, New Delhi. The power packed function also saw the launch of the 2016 edition of Power Brands along with the latest issue of Planman Media’s flagship Business and Marketing magazine, 4Ps. The function was presided over by Chief Guest, Dr. Harsh Vardhan the Minister at Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Earth Sciences.
 

Arun Karna, Managing Director AT & T Global Network Services was the guest of honor at the event that was conducted in association with Times Now, Gitanjali, Bright Outdoor and Ravish Kapoor Innovative Invitations.
 
The individual Power Brands who were inducted into the Power Brands Hall of Fame this time were:
 
Ritu Beri “for her outstanding contribution to creative excellence in design couture and powering India rising”
 
Prosenjit Chatterjee for his outstanding contribution to creative excellence in Indian cinema
 
Neha Dhupia for her significant contribution to creative excellence in Indian cinema
 
Rituparna Sengupta for her outstanding contribution to creative excellence in Indian cinema
 
Speaking at the event Dr. Harsh Vardhan spoke about the need for Power Brands to now think of how to become eternal brands by focusing on the society. He narrated his journey and the lessons he learnt in the way specifically related to the need for truth and honesty in everything we do. He said dreams were very important and narrated how the impossible task of making India free of Polio began with a simple dream to do that. He thanked the PM Shri Narendra Modi for his initiatives saying that this was the time for Power Brands to create a better India. He said branding was extremely important for not just companies but also political parties and that the country was now being led by a big brand called Shri Narendra Modi who has replaced an old family brand.
 
‎Prof. Arindam Chaudhuri spoke on how Brands can make the whole world a better place to live in, giving the example of how Bill Gates has been using his and Microsoft’s brand power to make the world poverty free.
 
Also present at the event amongst many others were special guests Shri R.K. Somany, CMD, HINDWARE, Ms Ritu Marya, Editor in Chief, Franchise India, Mr. Akhil Gupta, CEO, GITANJALI, Mr. Yogesh Lakhani, CMD Bright Outdoors, Mr. Anmol Arora, Promoter Group, LT Foods, Mr. Ravish Kapoor, CMD, Ravish Kapoor Innovative Invitations, Mr. Sagar Anand Kurade, President, AIFPA, Mr. Jai Saxena, Former Director Transaction Advisory Services, ERNST & YOUNG, Mr. Kamal Nath, CEO, Sify Technologies and Mr. Yashish Dahiya  CEO, PolicyBazaar.com.
 
The event saw brand owners of the most Powerful Brands of India receiving their honors for being present inside the special - by invitation - only brand compendium, Power Brands 2016. It also saw the announcement of the 4ps Biggest and the brightest from the world of IT, Ecommerce and Advertising.
 
The research was done jointly by IIPM Think Tank and Franchise India.
