ISHRAE Announces its Expansion in Skill Development, Launches Job Junction

ISHRAE, the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers today, announced the launch of Job Junction, an initiative to facilitate employment for fresh graduate engineers & diploma holders. Job Junction will act as an interface between prospective employers & students seeking employment.
 
Job junction has organized several employer - student engagements programs across cities scheduled to take place in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Indore and Bengaluru. The engagements will take place in January 2016. Through this initiative ISHRAE will focus on providing job opportunities for students in various categories which include Sales Engineer, Marketing Engineer, Project Engineer, Production Engineer, QA Engineer, Service Engineer, etc.
 
Announcing the launch of Job Junction Mr. K. Ramachandran, National President, ISHRAE stated, “The HVAC-R sector offers tremendous potential for employability but at the same time faces a tremendous crunch in providing a skilled labour workforce, especially at the entry level. With the current governments focus on “Make in India” with an impetus on developing the manufacturing sector, skilled workforce is a crucial factor which needs to be addressed immediately. Through Job Junction ISHRAE endeavors to fill the skill gap in the HVAC-R sector & will look to harness the talent pool India has to offer to both Domestic & Global manufacturers.”
 
ISHRAE promotes innovation, guidelines for indoor air quality & energy efficiency amongst other initiatives. The need for adequate training & skill development has been recognized by ISHRAE & the HVAC & R industry. Job Junction has received a good response from industry & students. Major Companies who have confirmed participation this year include DAIKIN, BLUE STAR, VOLTAS and CARRIER.
 
ISHRAE has been promoting the need of Skill development in the HVAC & R sector through various promotional activities. ISHRAE additionally has 190 student chapters in various cities across India and has 7000 student members. Additionally, the student chapters are affiliated to various colleges across the nation. Through its Student chapters ISHRAE has been encouraging student’s involvement in pursuing a career in the field of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration.
