David J. Haines, CEO and Chairman of the GROHE Group S.à r.l., is appointed to the Board of Directors of LIXIL Corporation. This appointment was officially proposed and confirmed at today’s Ordinary General Meeting of LIXIL Shareholders. With this appointment, Mr. Haines will be representing GROHE Group interests more intensively within the LIXIL Group management and thus taking on a key role in the GROHE Group’s partnership with LIXIL.
David J. Haines has been with GROHE since 2004. Under his leadership, the company has evolved into the world’s leading provider of sanitary fittings, which has included China’s market leader, Joyou AG, since 2011. It was Mr. Haines who managed the successful sale of the GROHE Group to Japan’s LIXIL Corporation.
As the largest building materials and housing equipment provider in Japan, the LIXIL Corporation offers a comprehensive range of products and services in which the GROHE Group also participates. Among other things, this partnership enables the ongoing exchange of expertise in technology and design as well as the complementary use of different distribution networks. This means that both partners are able to strengthen their respective market positions on a lasting basis.
