Move to new corporate headquarters marks the successful completion of yet another milestone on a multi-year journey of growth, expansion, collaboration and commitment to the India market

Gurgaon, Haryana, India, Wednesday, December 21, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- Canon India Pvt. Limited, India's No 1. Complete Digital Imaging Company has moved into a new corporate headquarters. The new office premise was inaugurated by Mr. Kensaku Konishi, President & CEO, Canon India. The premise is a 100,000 square feet office housed in Cyber Terraces in Gurgaon. The office is designed around the core principles of Kyosei, which symbolizes 'all people, regardless of race, religion or culture, harmoniously living and working together into the future'. Canon's new headquarters is a model workplace for employee collaboration, environmental sustainability and a growing, dynamic company in the 21st century.

Canon's new corporate office has capacity to accommodate workforce of over 811 people in its new elegantly done office. The company's software division, earlier located in Noida has also shifted to this new location now, amalgamating its workforce further. The merger between various work divisions is done with a view to enhance the working experience for all employees and to pave way to form greater synergies between a newly integrated team.

The new headquarters seats around 400 employees. Some of the highlights of this office include a magnificent reception with almost 100% additional seating capacity. The office offers breakout zones for employee rejuvenation. The office has 46 meeting rooms with some difference and interesting names like Magic, Harmony, Inspiration, Synergy etc. The cutting-edge spaces include no hard-walled offices and employees are sharing open collaboration areas. The premises also feature a boardroom with a capacity to seat 36 people together, with an in-built audio system and training rooms 24 seats and 18 seats convertible to 42 seats. The office also features a cafeteria with a seating capacity of 165 people.

Canon started operations in India with a 2500 sq. ft. workspace moving on to 10,000 sq. ft., 25,000 sq. ft. and eventually now four times bigger space of 100,000 sq. ft.

The new office also boasts of environment friendly features, such as energy efficiency with suspended lighting with T5 electronic ballasts, motion sensor controlled lighting and air conditioner control in meeting rooms; infrared sensor in washroom taps for water saving, CRI green label certified carpets, to ensure low VOC emission.
