Hansraj College Wins Inaugural TerraGreen Quiz at the TERI University Fest
New Delhi, Delhi, India, Friday, November 11, 2011 -- (Business Wire India) -- Teams from Hansraj College, New Delhi and TERI University, New Delhi were the big winners at the first ever TerraGreen Quiz, held as part of "Aahvaan"-the TERI University annual cultural festival. Open to colleges across NCR and India, the quiz saw participation from a number of other Delhi colleges.
The TerraGreen Quiz was organized and conducted by TERI Press, the publishing arm of TERI, in association with Quizcraft Events and Communications, one of India's three largest quizzing companies, which has also provided the necessary quizzing software and hardware for the show. The Quiz Master for the day was Kunal Savarkar of Quizcraft.
The prizes were given away by Prof. Bhavik R Bakshi, Vice Chancellor, TERI University to the winning teams as well as the winners of the TerraGreen Essay Competition 2011 held earlier. The winning team bagged a cash prize of Rs 10,000 while the runner-up won Rs 5,000 apart from trophies and free subscriptions to the magazine. The winning entries were also published in TerraGreen magazine.
An enthusiastic response from the participants and the audience was the hallmark of the inaugural TerraGreen Quiz. The Quiz Master kept the interest of the audience alive by throwing questions open to them and involving them in all ways possible.
Aahvaan is the only annual 'Green' University festival in India. It celebrates TERI University's mission, existence and purpose as a university, known for its unique post-graduate programs and initiatives in the fields of sustainability and environment. The fest is a confluence of youthful energy, talent and innovative ideas.
