LiveMedia Launches Kaun Banega Hoshiyar
New Genre of Programming on Digital Screens

New Delhi, Delhi, India, Monday, December 13, 2010 -- (Business Wire India) -- LiveMedia, India's largest player in the digital destination media industry, today announced an expansion in the repertoire of programmes carried by its 5000 screens across 2500 locations in 70 cities, with the introduction of "Kaun Banega Hoshiyar ?" "Kaun Banega Hoshiyar" is a programme which seeks to engage the audience through a Quiz. The program is an animated strip with a host and three participants, who are asked some interesting general knowledge questions by the host. The participants then press a buzzer and the first one gets to answer.

Speaking on the occasion, Abhishek Gulati, who looks after Studio Operations at LiveMedia, said, "Our research shows that the audience available in places where we are present like to get intellectually challenged. 'Kaun Banega Hoshiyar' is built on that premise. It is a heart thumping experience when friends, colleagues or family members compete and want to be the first to answer. It also helps the audience to enhance their general awareness levels.

LiveMedia currently runs over 18 different branded programmes, including such hits as Humour Live, Dhakkan's Diary, Yo Mousi, Kittty & Witty, Mr. Wise, Horoscope, Love Unplugged, Trivia Live and Fashion Live. Each of these has a growing set of loyal viewers and is extremely popular and widely talked about.

Rajan Mehta, Founder and CEO of LiveMedia added , "Due to a gradual shift in lifestyles, people are spending less time at home and more outside - in their destinations, it is therefore important that advertisers shift some of their media budgets to reach out to people where they are spending increasing amount of their time"

LiveMedia is a young start-up company funded by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Bay Partners and Samsung. LiveMedia has pioneered the concept of digital destination media, also known as "captive audience networks," in India. Through this platform, it has created an alternate channel for communication for reaching out to customer segments that are thin users of traditional media and are otherwise difficult to reach.

LiveMedia's network is the largest in India and spans over 2000 locations through 5000 screens spread over 70 cities and towns and addressing over 50 million footfalls in a month. The owners of locations where LiveMedia puts up its screens benefit as the network helps enhance the ambience and the overall experience of their visitors. Audiences enjoy watching the LiveMedia screens as these bring to them a new genre of programming which matches their outlook and lifestyle. Advertisers benefit as they are able to reach and effectively communicate with their precise target segment without the usual wastage and high costs of traditional media. With changing lifestyles, the media consumption habits of people are also changing, thus calling for newer and more innovative ways to reach out to ever elusive customers. LiveMedia typically installs multiple screens in every location thereby ensuring that the audience has a clear and impactful view. The display is high quality and approximately two-thirds of the screens are audio enabled, thereby further enhancing the effectiveness of the network.
