Germany's biggest trade fair and Exhibition Company Messe Frankfurt's Beautyworld India 2009- the three-day beauty fair concluded in Mumbai with an extravagant display of nail art by world famous nail artists Cornelia Wolfrum. Targeted at the beauty, cosmetic, healthcare and wellness industry, this three day beauty fair was India's largest and only internationally and professional organised, beauty fair with participation from the stalwarts of the beauty and wellness industry, global and national brands, beauty artists, fashion and style icons.

With extensive participation from across the globe and India the fair was the destination for showcasing styles and products, and bringing beauty and style artists and business delegates together under the same from Oct 4- 6, 2009 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.

The key highlight of the event was the coming together of Klaus Peter Ochs - globally renowned celebrity hairstylist from Germany and India's own global fashion designer Wendell Rodricks - a classic fusion of styles and fashion statement. The beauty of their craft came together at "Colors & Beauties" a Hair show where the German master hairstylist displayed his awe-inspiring hairstyles and Wendell Rodrick's costumes complemented the styles.

On the day one Beautyworld India had Mr. Alok Jha, Additional Director, Central Excise Intelligence - India and Mr. Suhas Chaudhari, Joint Commissioner FDA India discussing "Beauty meets Bureaucracy"- a panel discussion which was attended by a cross section of representatives of the beauty industry and their delegates from India and overseas. International exhibitors looking at doing business with India had the best opportunity to get first hand information on policies and procedures for import into India through this interesting panel discussion.

Another highlight of the BeautyWorld day two event was 'The Nail Championship' where various nail art professionals from salons, beauty parlours and students from the nail academy run by BollyWood star Ayesha Julka showcased their talent. Dr. Kavita Seth from Kavis won the Nail Champion trophy for nail design and Kanchan Talreja from Kuts n' Curls was felicitated for nail art at The Nail Championship'.

Besides having global and Indian products and brands on display at the various stalls, the event also had various workshops by beauty artists and style icons and more importantly panel discussions on various topics relevant to the industry. More than 16 professional workshops are held alongside the fair allowing for an exchange of latest information, new techniques and products.

The event also featured a session by Dr. Daniel Dickson From Danne-Montague-King, Australia on "Paramedical skin revision & results that are for life", followed by session by make-up artist Ms. Olimpia Zajac, Olimpia pty limited -"the make up hour". "The emergence & practice of Ayurveda therapies in the international spa industry" by Dr. Milind Salunke, Ananda Spa institute India was an informative session on the alternate therapies of beauty. The event also featured a session by Ms. Lidy Rutten, professional beautician and make-up artist at La Chasha Cosmetics, The Netherlands.

Beautyworld India 2009 has a wide range of products from cosmetics, skincare, hair care, dental care, spa and wellness, to packaging, raw materials, manicure & pedicure, furniture for beauty parlors, fashion accessories as well as training centers and publishers from India and abroad.
