Uttar Pradesh Trade Promotion Association (UPTPA) has confirmed its association as the official state partner for “Ambiente India 2016” to promote Uttar Pradesh’s popular crafts and traditional art at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Returning this summer from 22- 24 June 2016, the third edition of the leading co-located Interior Décor and Home Textile Fairs – Ambiente India & Heimtextil India – will together present a unique blend of traditional art and contemporary products in dining, living, giving and Home Furnishing segments.
UPTPA will have an exclusive Pavilion at Ambiente India where association members and artists will get together to display traditional interior décor products that capture the heritage of Uttar Pradesh. Indian art forms like rock painting, craft-jewelry, zardozi embroidery, metal ware, pottery, terracotta, jewelry and perfumes will be endorsed at the Uttar Pradesh Pavilion by key manufacturers primarily dealing in these products within the state. Many of these art forms will also be on live demonstration by local artisans giving interior decorators, architects, retailers and buying agents a chance to experience the development process.
Smt. Neena Sharma, I.A.S Commissioner & Director Industries (Uttar Pradesh) stated: “We are very excited to be a part of the thriving Indian interior designing market through Ambiente India 2016. It will be a valuable experience for our interior traders and artists to commercially expose their art as well as to connect with renowned interior decorators and market buyers who can carry forward our trade and heritage.”
Mr. Raj Manek, Executive Director and Board Member of Messe Frankfurt Asia Holding Ltd said: “While the platform promotes a plethora of modern interior design concepts from exhibitors in India and around the world, it is important to bring attention to the native art forms that hold prominence in different states to truly aid the growth of Indian art and crafts. We are happy to have UPTPA on board as the first official state partner and are excited to see the innovations they will bring to the floor.”
Held annually, Ambiente India and Heimtextil India are the Indian offspring of the world’s most important consumer goods and home furnishing trade fairs. The shows are being supported by Ministry of Textiles, Home Textile Federation of India and Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts and over 120 companies from India, Bangladesh, China, Korea and Russia have confirmed so far. Concurrent seminars and fringe programmes like Hospitality Day and Interior Lifestyle Awards Experience Zone are also lined up which are expected to create more networking and traction between exhibitors, manufacturers and home fashion buyers visiting the fair.
