BWI: Jindal Law Graduates Pursue Diverse Career Choices: JGLS Recruitments 2015

Jindal Global University Saturday, March 5, 2016 11:20AM IST (5:50AM GMT)   Jindal Law Graduates Pursue Diverse Career Choices: JGLS Recruitments 2015   Sonipat, Haryana, India The 2nd batch of the five-year B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) batch at Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) graduated in 2015 alongside the students of the three-year LL.B. and one-year LL.M. batch. A total number of 91 students from the B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) batch, 24 students from the LL.B. batch, while the total number of LLM graduates was 22. The graduating students opted for diverse careers in organizations ranging from law firms, corporates, senior counsels, think-tanks, start-ups, and public policy organizations, among others. A large number of students also chose to pursue higher studies abroad for which many partner universities of JGLS offered generous scholarships to the students. An interesting new trend among the career choices was a few students’ choice to launch or join start-ups in FMCG sector. Each of the 137 students who have graduated is either working or pursuing higher studies, with a small number of students preparing for competitive exams.   Prof C Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor of OP Jindal Global University and Dean of JGLS, remarked: “With a growing range of career streams being pursued by JGLS students, we are confident that in a very short time, our students are going to emerge as thought leaders making deep changes to the very landscape of preferred careers after law.
