With Christmas right around the corner, Baidu India plans to make this season even merrier by launching a fun, educational online game and giving away Nexus 5X,smartphones, power banks and Amazon shopping vouchers every week.
Lots of people who go on long vacations during Christmas are worried that they won’t be able to stay in touch with their friends and loved ones due to poor phone battery life or other technical problems. With the holiday spirit in mind, Baidu India has launched a new Web-based game named ‘DU Holiday Escape’. The game aims to educate smartphone users on essential battery saving techniques, and also offers players a chance to win exciting prizes every week.
DU Holiday Escape is a fun-filled, intuitive shooting game with a Christmas theme. In the game, the DU Bear pilots a reindeer sleigh to score points while shooting at oncoming viruses. To boost the sleigh’s power and life-meter, the player needs to collect DU Battery Saver and DU Speed Booster icons. The longer you save the DU Bear from viruses and fly the sleigh ahead, the more points you score. The game not only entertains but also teaches people about how to optimize their Android system. Once a game session is complete, a small insight is shared with the player on how they can use DU Battery Saver and DU Speed Booster to improve battery life and increase phone performance.
With the growing popularity of smartphones, it is becoming increasingly important for users to understand proper smartphone care and optimization techniques. As part of the game launch, Baidu India will also be running a contest until New Year’s Eve in which three top scorers will be awarded prizes every week. ‘DU Holiday Escape’ is now available online, and is compatible with Android, iOS and Windows Mobile platforms across all mobile browsers.
