Asia's Biggest Photography Contest in the Spotlight

With over 4432 participants from nearly 40 countries, the International Photography Contest on Kerala has made photographers sit up and pay attention.

Asia’s biggest photo contest with prize money of INR 15, 00,000 closes on 31 December 2015. It is a one of a kind platform in which photography enthusiasts from across the world can participate.

The contest based on the topic ‘Kerala’ is being organised by Kerala Tourism through its website www.keralatourism.org/photo_contest/ . The details are available in the website.

The 15 Lakh Rupees cash prize is the highlight of the event as it is the first time Kerala Tourism is coming out with a contest with such a huge sum as prize money. The first prize is Rs. 5.00 lakhs, second prize Rs. 3.00 lakhs, third prize Rs. 2.00 lakhs and five consolation prizes of Rs. 1.00 lakh each.

The contestants may submit their entries online through the Kerala Tourism website till the 31st of December 2015. Only a maximum of three entries will be accepted. The photographs should be original and the participant should hold its’ copyright. The submissions must have at least 1000 Pixels and less than 3000 pixels in either height or width and should be saved as Jpegs (.jpg), and not exceed 4MB per file, at 72dpi resolution. Digitally manipulated photographs will be disqualified from the contest.

This photography competition in which anyone with a passion for photography can participate will give visitors to the website the opportunity to rate the photographs the participants submit as well.
